Srila Prabhupada (Founder & Acharya of ISKCON) always emphasized the need for ‘simple living, high thinking’ so that the human society can live a simple life without the painful complexities of the present day and devote their time and energy in serving Lord Krishna thereby leading a happy and peaceful life.

This adage entails the development of self-sustained farming communities. We have striven over the years to practically demonstrate this principle for the benefit of all. Extensive farming is carried out in the project using the traditional methods of engaging the bull in the fields and using non-chemical components for growing crops thereby resulting in a organic product.

Today, the community produces several essential edibles in its land such as:

1. Pulses- Moong & Urad

2. Vegetables – Bitter Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Potatoes, Chilies,Guar ki phali, Chawka Ki Phali,Coriander, Fenugreek

3. Fruits – Guava,Lemons (Seedless also),Mangoes,Orange-Navel(Mausami), Natal Plum, Sapota, Leshva(an ingredient for mixed pickles)

We are also growing marigold flowers on large scale and have started a project regarding farming of pearls.

If you would like to help in spreading the principle of  self-sustenance in anyway – providing your skills, time or donation, please get in touch with us.
